I couldn't care less.
Hi Steve. I see that you are Russian and am concerned that English is not your first language. We are looking for native English speakers only. I would still to have a chat though. What's your telephone number so I can call you? Also, please send me a recent photo.
Thanks,
Ollie

Sorry Steve. I was too busy to call you today. I could only email you now I'm at home to tell you. I will be unavailable to chat this weekend as busy working. Can I reschedule for next week?

Good morning Ollie,
Thank you for your timely call yesterday at “3-ish”.
I hope your company can raise above the racial prejudices and take people for who they are, not for what their papers are.
My mother is from Canada, which makes English my mother tongue, and has enabled me to do my job as an Education Supervisor for Web International English with over 30 ESL teachers and over 40 Study Advisors under my supervision extremely well.
Wish you success in your future endeavors.

Did you not get my email last night? I told you that I was too busy to call and that I would like to re-schedule for next week. Why would you instantly assume racial prejudices? I certainly will not be calling you now after witnessing such an attacking, sarcastic reply. Is that the way you talk to all your potential employers? Good luck with getting anything talking to employees with such a condescending attitude. I will look elsewhere. You know, I would like to employ someone with manners and respect. You have shown your true colours pretty quickly. Thanks for not wasting my time any further.

Hello Ollie,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
Below are the answers to the questions you have posed in your email.
I assumed racial prejudices for the sole fact that, quote, "you are looking for native English speakers only. You would still to have a chat though". I didn’t comment on that racist reply for the sheer pleasure of being given a rare chance to hear your voice later on.
As you might have noticed, this indeed is not the way I would usually talk to potential employers. The fact that I sent you the additional information you requested in due time (phone number and a recent photograph) may only emphasize that.
As for my communication with employees, I make sure that my requests and appointments are followed up and kept as promised. Informing me of a cancelled appointment six hours after the appointment was originally scheduled smells like professional negligence (as does the request for my telephone number, even though it is clearly stated in my CV) more than anything else.
In terms of manners, I was at least taught to start my letters with a greeting and end them with a farewell as well as to paragraph them properly.
I sincerely wish I can help you further on a hard path of professional development and personal growth. You are welcome to ask me any questions that may arise.
Wish you and your family a happy Mid-Autumn Festival
Truly yours,
Steve
Thanks,
Ollie
